DONATIONS NEEDED TO SAVE THE NASH AND MOWOTONY PRAIRIES
The Nash and Mowotony Prairies just south of Houston are prairie wonderlands of potholes, pimple mounds, colorful flowers, raucous frogs, and soaring bird life. For those of us who've had the privilege of visiting these spectacular prairies, they represent a magical landscape that gives us a glimpse of the prairie's potential, past and future.
Recently the Nature Conservancy of Texas (TNC) and St. Mary's Episcopal Church in W. Columbia entered into an agreement to conserve these irreplaceable gems. Yet, the clock is ticking and TNC needs all our help if this effort is to succeed. TNC only has 6 months to raise money for the purchase price.
